"Love vs. Hate" by Joe Harrison

Here it is:

Hate of another man can only be taught
For it is not something from the heavens we brought
But taught it has been done and taught very well
Through instituitions and media our spite remains a swell

Some breed it for profit and others for gain
Some preach it for truth and their blind masses all obey
But most of us use it to strengthen our fears
Fears built on lies that have grown just through the years

But what we have learned we can surely erase
Although our minds have been poisened our heart still remains
For in every man there is good and the spirit to love all
Through knowledge and compassion we must awaken our soul

But we must be wise in our searching and not seek truth through the eyes of others
For it is only we that hold the key to our innermost divine powers
But once it is unlocked all else shall be forgotten
For our truth, beauty, and goodness shall transcend us to that infinite plane and we will understand lifes true power

But alas, some cannot do this for they have grown numb to what they feel inside
But all I can say to them is LOVE CONQUERS ALL AND HATE SHALL ULTIMATELY DIE!
